about
This track is inspired by the discovery of a book on the day of the death of Anna Kelly (1932-2006). The book was discovered in a small bookshop in Glasgow, called Voltaire & Rousseau.
There is a blog that coincides with these recordings, called 'Lavender in the Library'. The post that explains the background can be read here:
[Chorus]:
In
Between
The words
Of love
You smiled in a way I knew
Buds of something small said it all
I'm with you, I'm with you, I'm with you.
Verse 1.
Unexpected, in my hand.
Sleepless motion
Dream command
Wonder why you disappear
Lavender says you are near.
[Chorus x 1]
Verse 2.
Patience, virtuosity
In kind, generosity
Sincere constellation
Shine, like a light, like the sun.
Believe, rise: awake
Mould, and knead, and make
Blooming in a Panopticon plant
Breathe
[Repeat chorus x 2]
[A cappella chorus x 2]
